Where I Come From
Dedicated Leader.
Community Advocate.
Your Voice for District 6

A Legacy of Service
Cynthia stands on the shoulders of influential women—her grandmothers—who fought for the right to vote. Their resilience drives her relentless pursuit of equality and opportunity in our local government.
A LIFETIME OF SERVICE
I’m running for Orange County Commissioner because I believe leadership starts with listening, showing up, and delivering results. For years, I have worked alongside families, seniors, and community members to help them navigate housing challenges, access resources, and overcome barriers to stability. Through that work, I have seen both the strengths of our county systems and the areas where residents need better support, stronger coordination, and a government that is more responsive to their everyday needs.
District 6 is a community I know and serve. From MetroWest and Holden Heights to Tangelo Park, Malibu Groves, and surrounding neighborhoods, our district is made up of hardworking families, small businesses, community organizations, and residents who deserve to be heard. As your County Commissioner, I will bring my experience, community knowledge, and commitment to service to ensure every neighborhood has a voice at the table.

Cynthia Harris isn’t just asking for your vote—she is continuing a lifetime of service to the community she calls home. From neighborhood advocacy to helping families navigate challenges, Cynthia has consistently stood alongside District 6 residents, working to address community needs and create opportunities for a stronger future.
What Differentiates Me
What sets me apart is real-world, hands-on experience and results-driven leadership:
Community-Based Experience: I’ve worked on the ground with residents, not just in policy discussions. I understand the daily realities people face because I’ve helped solve them.
Union & Worker Advocacy: As a former AFSCME Shop Steward, I’ve stood up for workers, negotiated solutions, and understand the importance of protecting fair wages and workplace rights.
Practical, “No-Nonsense” Approach: I focus on solutions that actually work—whether that’s improving access to housing, expanding workforce opportunities, or increasing government transparency.
Accountability & Transparency: I believe government should be open, accessible, and responsive. Residents deserve to know how decisions are made and how their tax dollars are being used.
Deep Community Roots: I’m not new to this community. I’m invested in it—working alongside neighborhood organizations, families, and local leaders to build lasting change.
